1. Status and Function
This unit is from Module10 in Book 1. The type of this unit is reading and writing. It tells us information on the celebration of Spring Festival. The students will also learn different culture in foreign countries. Besides learning this, the students will learn some words, phrases and expressions of Spring Festival. 2. Analysis of the Students
The students in my class are creative and active. They are interested in the festivals. They like to talk about information on the celebration of Spring Festival. They will try their best to master the knowledge in this unit.3. Teaching Aims and Demands

(1) To learn and master the new words and phrases “February”, “January”, “luck”, “celebrate”, ”traditional”, “have a look at”, “It means”, “sweep away” and “ Merry Christmas”.
(2) To learn and master Present continuous tense.

To identify information on the celebration of Spring Festival and write something about festival.

Summary Homework Ask the students to make a passage about what people do to celebrate for Christmas in Britain, using the present continuous tense.
