How are you going to do that I am going to ...” that express the plans and thoughts for the future career correctly in the context of talking about students plans for the future. By talking about future career, we can help students set up lofty ideals, face difficulties bravely and strive to achieve them,which inspires their vision for a better future.
Thenew curriculum standardanalysis The new curriculum standard requires the students of Grade8 to understand short oral expressions with clear pronunciation and slow speech speed and obtain key information; to be able to infer people,places,events, etc according to the key words they hear; to be able to communicate with others in daily life with correct pronunciation, intonation and words, and relatively coherent expression; to understand the humanistic spirit, scientific spirit and labor value contained in the short texts and realize the traditional virtues in Chinese and foreign social life.
Analysis of Teaching Materials This class is the first part in this unit, it is a listening and speaking lesson. First of all, this part brings students into the topic through pictures and text. The career vocabularies that students have learned before and newly learned in this unit are listed in 1a. By introducing questions, leading into the dialog, the sentence patterns in this unit are presented, which lead students to plan and think about their ideal career. 1b-1c leads students to learn related words and basic sentence patterns with my dream job as the topic through career sorting, listening practice and dialog training according to personal interests, and then leads to the important topic of this unit-life goals.
Analysis of Students The future career discussed in this period is a topic in students’ daily lives, which can easily arouse students’ resonance, stimulate their thoughts about their dreams and vision for the future. Through effective situation creation and problem activities, students will actively participate in various language practice activities. In the previous study, they have also mastered some knowledge and have a certain degree of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, which will lay a foundation for this class.

Step 2 Pre-listening Thispart starts with students’ observation of career pictures, by looking at the pictures and guessing the occupation,step by step, it is easy for students to accept new knowledge without feeling difficult, it also allows students to naturally participate in classroom activities, students will be able to express and talk about all kinds of jobs actively.
Learn words about career Show some pictures about different jobs. T: Look at these pictures, who is he/she Ss: He/she is a(an)...(computer programmer, engineer, pilot...) Step 3 While-listening In this part, we listen to dreams, fill in the blanks and correct , train students’ listening ability and cultivated ability. Group activities will achieve a breakthrough in the important and difficult points in this class, and also prepared for the following exercises.
Listen to other’s dreams T:To make your dream come true, how are you going to do that Let the students discuss with their partners and then show their ideas in front of the class. They should use “be going to...” Show the picture of the book in 1b, guess: What are they talking about Ss: They are talking about dream jobs. Listen and match the items, then fill in the blanks. Check the answers together.
Step 4 Post-listening This activity is a half-controlled and half-open oral activities. The topic is the same, but the characters are different, dream jobs are different. We extend the problem to the students’ daily lives. It cultivatestheir communicative ability and shows the high-level loss of language out.

Good morning, everyone! My name is Li Dong from Sanhua Middle School. Today, my topic is taken from Grade 8, the first book. Unit 6 I’m going to study computer science, section A from 1a to 1c of “go for it”.
Here are five parts of my presentation.
Well, let’s come to the first part: Teaching Material. The lesson is taken from “Go for it”. The topic of unit is life goals——Talk about future intentions.
Next, let’s focus on Student Situation.
Students of Grade Eight have studied English for more than five years and have grasped a certain amount of English knowledge. However, their listening and speaking abilities are still at the level of beginners. Taking all of these factors into account. I will give them more opportunities to practice.
Next, let’s come to the third part: Teaching objectives.
(1) Read and memorize new words about jobs.
(2) Learn target sentence patterns through watching, listening and speaking, sort out dream jobs and the ways to realize them.
Next, the fourth part: Teaching steps.
In order to achieve my teaching aims successfully, I divided my teaching steps into 6 steps: Warming-up, Pre-listening, While-listening, Post-listening, Summary and homework.
Step1: Warming-up:
After greeting the students. I will guide them to get ready to start our English journey by watching the videos.
Step2: I designed two tasks for students—New words teaching and sentence patterns teaching.
Task1: show the pictures to teach new words, then Let students read the words about jobs After that, I let the students find the rules. Task 2: Through “ask and answer”, let the students practice sentence patterns.
Step3: let students listen to 1b and finish the tasks, check the answers. this helps students to practice their listening ability.
Step4: Ask students to practice the conversation, this helps students to master the Sentence patterns easily.

In this step, let students remember what they have learned today.

The last part: Teaching Reflection
I think in my lesson, the theme is very clear. Some listening and speaking activities help students to master language knowledge. However, I also find that they have difficulty in expression with new words and sentences.
There are also some grammar mistakes. I wish to be a great teacher, and I must study harder.
