I. Analysis of the teaching material
1. Introduction of the teaching material:
The teaching materia ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )l which I’m going to talk about is Unit 3 in 9A, Oxford English. This Unit is about teenage problems. The purpose of this unit is to develop the students’ skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing by teaching them thinking about personal problems and how to deal with them and use the verb “to be” when talking about their problems. In this period, my students are expected to extract information from a student profile and share their problems and give advice. Meanwhile, I think moral education should also be carried out properly.
2. Teaching aims:
1) Aims of knowledge: students will be able to:
1. Extract information from a student profile
2. Write notes about a student profile
3. Master some words ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ) and phrases: reply pleasure do well in(be good at )
pay no attention to s ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )b./ sth. share problems with my friends laugh at
be proud of reply to the top student
4. Master the following sentence patterns:
I’m afraid she doesn’t want to write to me any more.
I’m sure that’s not true.
Why don’t you ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ) send an e-card to her and let her know you miss her very much

2. Develop their ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )abilities of communicating with each other using the useful words and expressions learned in this lesson.
3) Aims of emotion: students will be able to:
Be happy, lively teenagers after learning this lesson
Moral education:
We have lots o ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )f hobbies, however, we are in Grade 9 now and we have to spend more time on our studies and most of us have some problems, so we have to know how to achieve a balance between our schoolwork and hobbies. We can share our problems with our parents, teachers friends and so on, ask them to give us some advice.
3. Teaching focus and difficulties:
1) Teaching focus:
1. To listen and write ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ) notes about a student profile and extract information from the conversation.

II. Analysis of the students
My students ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )are about 16 years of age. They are curious, active and enjoy learning in the exciting, interesting and relaxing atmosphere. They easily lose confidence in face of difficulties. So suitable tasks are very important. The teaching activities should be interesting and within their abilities and the introductions should be given step by step.
