Sample Writing
Strange things happened in Tangshan. For a few days, water in the wells rose and fell. From the cracks of wells, a smelly gas came out. Mice, chickens, pigs and even fish became nervous.
At3a.m, everything began to shake. It seemed that the world was coming to an end. One-third of the nation felt it. A huge crack cut across the city.
The city lay in ruins. Two-thirds of the people died or were injured. Then later that afternoon, another big quake shook Tangshan. People began to wonder how long the disaster would last.
But all hope was not lost . Soldiers came to help those survivors.
Slowly, the city began to breathe again. Then, the city revived itself and got back on its feet.
