Youth
Youth is not a time of life ; it is a state of mind ; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees ; it is a matter of the will , a quality of the imagination , a vigor of the emotions ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .
Whether sixty or sixteen , there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonder , In the center of your heart and my heart , there is a wireless station ; so long as it receives messages of beauty , courage and power from man and from the infinite , so long as you are young .
青春不是年华，而是心境；青春不是桃面，丹唇，柔膝，而是深沉的意志，恢弘的想象和炽热的感情；青春如生命的源泉在涌流．
无论年届花甲，抑或二八芳龄，心中皆有生命之快乐，奇迹之诱惑．人人心中皆有无限电台，只要它从天上人间接受美好，勇气和力量的信号，你就永远青春永驻。
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism , then you’ve grown old , even at twenty , but as long as your aerials are up , to catch the waves of optimism , there ' s hope you may die young at eighty .
一旦天线倒塌，锐气便被冰雪覆盖，玩世不恭，自暴自弃油然而生，即使年方二十，实已垂垂老矣；然则只要竖起天线，捕捉乐观的信号，你就有望在八十高龄告别尘寰时仍觉青春相伴左右。

The lack of opportunity is ever the excuse of a weak , vacillating mind . Opportuities! Every life is full of them .Every lesson in school or college is an opportunity . Every examination is a chance in life . Every business transaction is an opportunity - an opportunity to be polite , and opportunity to be manly , an opportunity to be honest , an opportunity to make friends . Every proof of confidence in you is a great opportunity .
缺乏机会，向来都是胆小懦弱和优柔寡断者的借口。机会！生活中无处不在。无论是中学还是大学里的每堂课都是一次机会，考试是生活给予的机会，处理事务是一次机会。生活给予人们礼貌待人、诚实宽厚的机会，更是广交朋友的大好机会；生活对个人自信度的考验度也是个极好的机会。

Don ' t wait for your opportunity . Make it , as all leaders of men , in war and in peace , have made their chances of success .
