(1) 此句中的动词不定式作定语,动词不定式作定语时,放在被修饰词后面。当作定语的不定式和被修饰词构成动宾关系时,而且动词又是不及物动词时,其后应该加上适当的介词。

(2)give thanks for sth.“因某事而表示感谢”,give thanks to sb.“对某人表示感谢”。
