The red-crowned crane is one of the largest
cranes in the world, standing at about 150 cm
tall. Its feathers are as white as snow, except
for some black ones on its face, neck and wings.
Its unique feature, from which it gets its name, is the bright red skin on the top of its head. The red-crowned crane is found in China, Russia,Mongolia, Japan and the Korean Peninsula.
