单元教学设计说明： 本单元教材以can you come to my party？为中心话题，围绕着描述“发出，接受，拒绝邀请”展开，学习礼貌用语的表达 和人际交往的基本常识，谈论自己和别人的义务和责任，学习如何安排好日程表，同时根据日程表中的计划安排自己的活动。分为Section A,Section B,self heck 三个部分。Section A 主要通过听力测试，小组结对练习等方式掌握单元重点词汇级语法结构。Section B则通过阅读，写作，小组合作学习等方式对新旧语言知识综合运用。Self check 则通过填空和对话的方式对知识点进行进一步的复习巩固。本单元内容与实际生活息息相关，使学生感兴趣的话题，是对情态动词can引导的一般疑问句的进一步学习。
学情分析： 经过上本单元的学习，学生对于“发出，接受，拒绝邀请”这一语言表达方式有一定的了解，明白了情态动词在句子当中的作用和意义、基本结构和基本用法，但有些学生还不能真正理解情态动词和它的用法。大部分学生的英语基础不好，只有部分学生学习英语的积极性较高，乐于参与各项活动，所以在本单元的教学中，会运用情景体验的教学方法提高学习兴趣，从而引入实际生活，达到运用掌握。
单元目标与重点难点： 语言能力: At the end of the class, the students will be able to: 1.learn to use the following structures about invitations. —Can you come to my party on… —Sure, I’d love to./Sorry, I can’t. I have to/must… 2.learn to use the modal verb can for invitations and have to for giving reasons. 思维品质： At the end of the class, students will be able to be polite to others when they refuse their invitations. 学习能力: Students can develop their abilities of working in pairs and communication by learning useful. 文化意识: Enable students to recall and share their own opinions about the invitation. 1.重点： 1) Be able to make invitation. 2.Be able to accept and decline the invitation politely. 难点: Can 引导的一般疑问句及其肯定和否定回答；
单元整体教学思路： 教学方法 情境教学法：在本地单元教学中，教师将学生带入“两个人对话”的情境，以生动的形式呈现出本单元主题“can you come to my party？”,并组织学生在此情境中不断练习一情态动词的用法，达到学以致用的效果。 任务教学法：教师围绕“情态动词can”重点语法，根据课本活动，设计出多种练习形式，包括对话、听力、解释、习题等，以促使学生更好掌握本单元重难点。 多媒体辅助教学：形象、生动，给教师带学生进入情境提供了载体，使课堂容量相对增加，给学生提供更多语言实践计划，有利于综合语言运用能力的提高。 教具：电脑多媒体等。 课时安排 4 periods: 1:(Section A 1a-2d) 2:(Section A Grammar Focus-3c) 3:(Section B 1a-2e) 4:(Section B 3c-self check)
