Recently, a new life style called low carbon(低碳)life is spreading every corner of our country. The meanings of low carbon are 13 energy and no waste. It is such an important project that I can’t wait to express my ideas on how to promote it.
First, we should 14 a no-car day every week in our school. Because cars not only cause serious air pollution but also waste energy. 15 the no-car day, neither students 16 teachers are allowed to drive to school. At the same time, just walk or run. Use our legs and enjoy the fun.
Second, we had better not use plastic bags 17 . No one can stand the“white pollution”, 18 it is wise to use cloth bags which can be used again and again.
19 ,one thing that we should keep in mind is that every big thing comes from the small details. So, as students, we ought to turn 20 the lights the moment we leave, use 21 sides of the paper, and reuse our textbooks and so on.
All in all, it weighs greatly for all of us to put the low carbon lifestyle into practice. Just set our mind to these:no-car days, no plastic bags, and no waste. Let’s do it now.

Joey Alexander was born in Bali, Indonesia on June 25, 2003. He is so talented in jazz that he is considered a jazz prodigy. However, he says he doesn't like being called a prodigy. He just prefers to be thought of as himself or as a jazz musician.
Joey is from Indonesia but lives in New York now. He started playing the piano when he was 6 years old. He says his success isn't from tons of lessons; it's from feeling the music in his heart.

In just a year or so, he could already lay difficult jazz pieces. For him, jazz is really great. It gives him freedom. That's why he prefers jazz to modern or classical music.
In December, 2011, Joey was invited to play in front of the well-known jazz musician Herbie Hancock during his visit to Indonesia. Seeing blood in a horror movie might make you cover your eyes, but real blood isn’t scary at all.
37 That’s why blood donors are considered lifesavers.
Blood donors are those giving blood --- usually about 200ml at a time --- to blood banks or blood donation ( 捐 赠 ) centers. 38 For example, someone may have lost blood in accidents, or have a serious illness that requires his blood to be replaced. Hospitals and blood banks store the blood and try to keep enough on hand.
39 Medical workers ask donors several questions to make sure the blood is safe to use. Then the donors relax, often reading a magazine or talking as their blood is drawn. Afterward, the donors may receive some juice or water and maybe fruit to give them energy. The process is simple, not scary. 40 To give blood, a person must be at least 18 years old and must meet certain other requirements.
Students of all ages, though, can learn more about the donation process by visiting a local blood donation center. 41 It is also an easy way to help a community.
A.Donating blood is not difficult.
B.Then the blood can be used for people in need.

When什么时候;How soon多久以后;How long多久;How far多远。根据答语“Since four years ago.”
it它;us我们;yourself你自己;you你。
根据many times可知是说去过很多次了,用have been to。故选B。
5.D
be good for对……有好处;be harmful to对……有害;do harm to对…… Don't eat too much candy可知,应该是因为它对你的牙齿有害,排除B,故选D。
6.A

8.A
cutting down 砍伐,砍倒;cutting up切碎;taking down写下,拿下;take away带走,夺走。 故选A。
9.C

You’re right你是对的;That’s good那很好;That’s too bad那太糟糕了;I don’t like it我不喜欢它。
11.A
根据“many teenagers in America can hear no better than 65-year-old people do because these young people always listen to loud music.”

and连接并列结构,根据and no waste可知high energy不合句意,故选D。
A. set off出发;B. set up建立;C. put on挂起;D. put down放下。

turn up调高;turn down调低;turn on 打开;turn off关闭。
根据sides of the paper可知纸有两边,故选A。

根据前句“Now the water in it becomes very dirty.”
故填since。
故填to。

will的过去式为would。故填would。
此空为连词,“ The two lazy birds felt freezing.”和“no one was active enough to work. 故填But。
故填the。
故填Being。
57.What is it 58.Where are we going /Where shall we go 59.Why 60.I can hardly believe it. 61.But now everything has changed.

60.根据下文“It used to be beautiful place with flowers and grass, and the water was clean.” 可知上文“I can hardly believe it”我几乎不能相信它。故填I can hardly believe it.

62.Saving the Earth
The earth is our home. We should take care of it. But some things we have done are bad for the earth. We have polluted the earth and made it sick. We cut down too many trees and change rich land into desert. Many factories pour waste water into rivers and lakes. Pollution has caused some serious problems. For example, much of the land is poor, some rivers and lakes are dirty. Even the temperature of the earth is rising. The earth is crying for help.
What shall we do to save it My suggestions are that we should plant more trees, put the rubbish into dustbins and stop factories from pouring waste water directly into rivers. After all, we have only one earth. We should do everything we can to protect it, or we’ll be punished and lose our home.
