Unit 1 I was born in a small village
一：动词 be的一般过去式was/were 。在变否定时，直接在be(was/were)在后面加not构成。即Was+not=wasn’t。和were+not=weren’t。在变疑问时，直接将be(was/were) 提到主语前面。例如：
1.肯定：I was born in Huaying.
否定：I was not n(was’t) born in Huaying.
疑问：Were you born in Huaying ?
回答：Yes,I was ./No,I wasn’t.
特殊：Where were you born ?
2.肯定：There were fifteen buildings in our school.
否定：There were not (weren’t)fifteen buildings in our school.
疑问：Were there fifteen buildings in our school?
回答：Yes,there were./No,there weren’t.
特殊：How many buildings were there in our school ?
二：用于一般过去时的时间状语有：
１.a moment ago, （一会儿前） ２.yesterday morning,（昨天早晨或上午）
３. last +时间名词（last year去年） ４.the day before yesterday ,（前天）
５.just now （刚才）, ６. in +过去时间(in 1980)。
