四.系动词小结
连系动词是表示主语“是什么”或“怎 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )么样”的词,它虽有词义,但不完整,所以不能单独作谓语,必须跟表语一起构成合成谓语,例如:
We are in Grade Two this year.(今年我们在两年级。)are,这个词的词义“是”在句子中常常不译出。连系动词可具体分为三类:
1、表示“是”的动词be。这个词在不 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )同的主语后面和不同的时态中有不同的形式,is,am,are,was,were,have/has been等要特别予以注意。例如:
He is a teacher.(他是个教师。)
He was a soldier two years ago.(两年前他是个士兵。)

2、表示“感觉”的词,如look(看起 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )来),feel(觉得,摸起来),smell(闻起来),sound(听起来),taste(尝起来)等,例如:
She looked tired.(她看一去很疲劳。)
I feel ill.(我觉得不舒服。)
Cotton feels soft.(棉花摸起来很软。)
The story sounds interesting.(这个故事听起来很有趣。)
The flowers smell sweet.(这些花闻起来很香。)
The mixture tasted horrible.(这药水太难喝了。)
3、表示“变”、“变成” ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )的意思的词,如become, get, grow, turn, 都解释为“变”、“变得”,例如:
She became a college student.(她成了一名大学生。)
He feels sick. His face turns white.(他感到不舒服,他的脸色变苍白了。)
The weather gets warmer and the days get longer when spring comes.(春天来了,天气变得暖和些了,白天也变得较长些了。)

拓展提升:a bit和a little
1)a bit和a little在肯定句中修 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )饰动词、形容词、副词和比较级时可以互换, 表示“一点儿”的意思。如:This story made me a little / bit sad.
2)a little 可以直接作定语 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )修饰名词, 而a bit 则要在后面加 of 构成短语 才能作定语,两者都只能修饰不可 数名词。如: There is a little / a bit of milk in the fridge.
3)a bit 和 a little在否定句中的意思 恰恰相反。
not a bit = not at all (一点儿都不,根本不)
not a little = very (非常)
She is not a bit tired. = She is not tired at all.她一点都不累。
She is not a little tired. = She is very tired. 她非常累。

拓展:how也可以引导感叹句,how用来修饰形容词或副词。其结构为:

形容词afraid通常用在系动词的后面作表语“I’m afraid+that从句 ”意为“恐怕......”。That可以省略。
I’m afraid that it’s not a good idea.恐怕那不是一个好主意。
拓展:
be afraid of +名词/动名词,意为“害怕....”。
I’m afraid of snakes.我害怕蛇。
be afraid of to do sth .意为“不敢做....”。
I am afraid to make a speech in public.我不敢在公共场所演讲。
It smells too strong and it tastes a bit sour.它闻起来味道太重,并且尝起来味道有点儿酸。
A bit意为“有点儿,稍微”,常用来修饰形容词或副词。
This maths is a bit difficult.这道数学题有点难。
拓展:
A bit不能用来直接修饰不可数名词,必须加of后再加名词。
