教学目标
1.语言技能:

(3)能够正确使用There be句型“There was no gym in my school twenty years ago. / There’s a new gym in our school now.”描述过去与现在存在或没有存在的事物。
(4)能够运用新学的句型描述图片内容,找出图片中错误的地方。

(1)能了解单词简单的拼读规律,根据单词的音、义、形来学习词汇。

Step 1:warm-up
1.Greeting.师生用英语互相问候。
2.Free talk.(师生交流,复习There be句型。)

【设计意图】通过轻松的交流复习巩固与本课时相关的重点句型。
Step 2:Presentation
1.Lead-in
(1)Look and describe:What’s Wu Yifan’s school like? What’s in Wu Yifan’s school?(教师出示Wu Yifan学校的图片,与学生共同讨论学校的建筑物,学校里面有什么?引出新词汇。)
T:Look at the picture. This is Wu Yifan’s school. What’s the school like? What’s in his school?
Ss:There is a dining hall. There is a gym. There is a grass.(grass表示“草地”时,它的复数形式是grasses,而表示“草”时,其复数形式是grass,属于不可数名词,比如:地上有很多草。There is much grass on the ground.)在这个环节,教师要尽量引导学生通过词汇的“音、义、形”来记忆单词。
2.Read and spell the words.(教师引导学生拼读单词,并尝试记忆单词。)

3.Watch and follow.(教师播放视频,学生跟读,引出词汇twenty years ago, …months ago, last year, last month.)

Step 3:Practice
1.Find the mistakes.(学生观察图片内容,圈出错误的词汇,再模仿课本中的句型进行描述。)
(1)Look and describe the sentences and pictures.(教师帮助学生解决一些难点词汇:dynasty, motel.顺便与学生复习以前学过的词汇,在学生掌握词汇之后,再解析句子,这样,学生在运用句型的时候才能做到得心应手。)

(2)Find and say.(学生找出图片中的不当之处,并用英语表达出来。这个环节,教师可以建议口语表达能力较差的学生先将句子写下来,再朗读出来,这样可以直接降低表达的难度,学生不用一边思考,一边表达;而口语表达能力较强的学生,可以直接指着图片,用英语描述图片的不当之处。)
(3)Let’s check.(邀请个别学生上讲台,指着PPT中的图画,一边指,一边表达,给其他同学做示范。)
2.Make a summary.

教师和学生一起总结本课时的教学重点,先由学生谈谈自己学了什么,教师再进行总结。
