Teaching procedure
Step 1: Warm-up
Watch a video about camping and lead in the assessment.
Step2: Lead-in
Mike makes a video call and invites Ss who finish the tasks and get the most tickets to go camping with him and lead in the topic of Let’s talk.
Step 3: Presentation
1.Task 1:Revision
Words game: Hit the words
(Use a game to review the learned words and prepare for the next task.)
Task 2:
Look at the picture and check Mike’s list about going camping.Mike can’t find his cap and ask Ss for help.
Watch ,listen and answer.
Who is in the video
Look at the picture and find Mike’s cap together.
①T:Is it in Mike’s bag
Ss:No, it isn’t.
②T:Is it in Mike’s toy box
Ss: Yes, it is.
③T: So where is Mike’s cap
Ss: It’s in the toy box.
Look at the picture 4 and talk.
①T:Mike finds his cap!What will Mike say to mum
Ss: Thanks, mum! Bye!
②T: How about mum
Ss: Bye! Have a good time!
T guides Ss to use Have a good time.
Watch, listen and imitate.
Ss watch, listen and imitate the video.
Let’s read.
①Open the books, point and read together.
②Read in groups.
③Read in roles.
Sing a song with the dialogue.
Read and fill in the blanks.
Look at the picture and fill in the blanks according to the tips.
Let’s act.
T gives an example to Ss, and then ask Ss work in pairs and act it out. T will give some rules to Ss.
Step 4:Consolidation & Extension
Task 3: Practice:Play the games and help Mike get the map of camping.
①Game1:Find their homes
T show some pictures and guess where they should be with the sentence “Is it in/on/under ... ”
②Game2:Let’s play.
Show a video performed by Ss, and then ask Ss to work in pairs to imitate and play.
③Game 3: Group work: Make a new dialogue
Ask Ss to look at the pictures and make a new dialogue with the help of given sentence structures.
2. Moral education
(1)Ask Ss to observe the pictures and think about keeping things in order.
(2) Enjoy a song : Clean up song
