Grammar A
What is an adverbial clause of concession
We use although/though to contrast two clauses.
e.g. Though/Although it was raining, we went there.
Though/Although it was four o’clock, the lights were already on.
e.g. Although/Though you are a little younger than me, yet you are much taller. (√)
Although/Though you are a little younger than me, but you are much taller. (×)
We still worked in the field although/though it was raining hard.
= It was raining hard, but we still worked in the field.
e.g. Although/though (it was) snowing, it was not very cold.
