take (a) pride in sb./sth. = be proud of对…感到自豪2. 词语辨析3.not ...any more与not…any longer的用法区别： ①not…any longer相当于no longer 意思是“不再”，用来表示时间或距离，常用来修饰延续性动词，主要强调“时间不再延长”，常用于现在时。如：
(1) He is no longer a young man. 他不再是个年轻人了。
(2) I can't wait any longer. 我不能再等了。
②not ...any more相当于no more意思是“不再”，表示数量或程度，常用来修饰非延续性动词，通常指今后“再也不”，表示不再重复发生以前“动作”或存在的“状态”，强调终止界限，时态多用将来时，但也可用过去时 。如：
(1) We saw him no more. 我们再也看不见他了。
(2) I can't play any more. 我再也不能玩了。
注意：no more / no longer 放在 be 动词、助动词、情态动词之后（且常缩写），行为动词之前；no more 多用来修饰具体动词；no longer多用来修饰某种具体状态动词；而not ...any more/not…any longer中的any more/any longer常位于句尾． 4.big,large,great,huge与giant的用法区别：
一、big“大的，巨大的”，常指程度，范围，规模，容积，重量，数量等（还可表示“伟大，重要”之意）常可与large互换，多用于具体的、有形的人或物（其反义词多为little/small。）如：Thisisabigcock.这是只大公鸡。Jim'scakeisthebiggestofall.吉姆的蛋糕是所有蛋糕中最大的。Thereisabigtreebesidethehouse.房子旁边有一棵大树。
二、large“大的，巨大的”，常指面积，范围，可表示数和量（当它直接用于人时，可表示身体的大），其反义词为small。如：TheysayChinaisalargeandbeautifulcountry.他们说中国是一个面积大而美丽的国家。Wehavealargefarm.我们有一个大农场。
三、great“大的，极大的，伟大的，重要的，超乎寻常”，常指面积，数量，程度（或指抽象的东西，如知识，能力，人格等），用来指人时，表示“伟大的，杰出的”，其反义词为little/small。如：Weheardagreatnoise.我们听到一个很大的响声。MaoZedongisagreatleaderofChina.毛泽东是中国的伟大领袖。 值得注意的是，big还可以作“长大了”解，great有时可表达说话人的喜悦、赞扬等感情。如：Lilyisbigenoughtorideabike.莉莉长大了，可以骑自行车了。---Howdoyoulikemywatch?你觉得我的这块表怎么样？Great!好极了！
