本单元是一节读写课。课文以学生的口吻讨论中学生怎样才能节约资源，保护环境，内容贴近学生的生活实际。本课的重点为如何正确使用表建议的句型并给出环保建议。教学过程以教材为基础，结合学生的实际学情，合理使用教材。
Analysis of students
学生通过学习本模块Unit 1，已经掌握了部分与话题相关的词汇，并能够简单地谈论环境污染对于他们生活的影响。在学习Unit 2之前让学生们对本单元单词进行了预习，这些为该阅读课的学习奠定了基础。在本单元学习过程中可能出现的难点为：部分词汇学生发音存在问题，如：plastic, produce, policy等；部分难句学生理解起来存在问题，如：Do you walk or ride a bike to school? 一句的回答等。另外最后的话题作文，部分学困生在理解上会有难度，要密切关注此类学生的课堂参与情况。
