Analysis of the Teaching Material 本节课是该单元第三课时,是一节语法课。在一、二课时输入语言的基础上,Grammar Focus利用表格形式梳理出本单元的语法学习要点,单元重点语法be supposed to, be expected to以及it is +adj. + to do sth.的用法。接下来的4a-4c三个语法练习帮助学生通过不同方式巩固上述语法知识,从笔头练习过渡到口头练习,同时开发性也逐步加强。Grammar Focus部分首先以问答的形式呈现了be supposed to, be expected to以及it is +adj. + to do sth.用法的句子。在操练该句型的同时,让学生感知被动语态的用法。4a-4b是控制性练习,主要训练学生掌握目标语言使用语境。4c是综合性的练习,向外国友人介绍中国关于时间,餐桌礼仪,参加生日宴会,拜访他人以及送礼等方面的文化礼仪。让学生在完整的语境中体会推测逻辑。
Analysis of the Students 通过一、二课时的学习,学生了解了be supposed to, be expected to以及it is +adj. + to do sth.的用法。但在表达过程中还不能准确使用不定式,在本节课通过系统归纳其用法,帮助学生进一步感知该目标语言。
该班学困生多,课堂积极性不够高,参与率低,教法精简重点词汇与句型,分层次记忆与操练。通过各种方式对新句型与新单词进行反复大量的操练达到语用的目的。
是本单元第三课时,学生有了前面课时的语言铺垫,在语言输出方面难度会觉得小很多,课堂任务应该追求语言学习的实践和应用能力的提升。

Step 5Language Points 1. be supposed to表示按照规则、规律、义务或约定“当;理应”去做某事,其中to为动词不定式符号,后接动词原形。如: You’re supposed to return the bike tomorrow. be supposed to的语意相当于should。如: You’re supposed to study harder. = You should study harder. be supposed to的否定式是在be后加not,即be not supposed to,其一般疑问句是把be提至主语前。如: You are not supposed to talk loudly in the hospital. Am I supposed to get up at 7 o’clock was / were supposed to常用来把本应该发生的事与实际发生的事进行对照,可译为“本应该”。如: They were supposed to arrive at nine, but they were late.2. be expected to do sth. 被期许(预期)会做某事, 被要求做某事,希望做某事, 表示可能性。 e.g. 希望她能在晚餐前到达。 She was expected to arrive before dinner. be supposed to do相对于be expected to do主观性更强。 将知识点做好笔记。 将本课语言点汇总系统,帮助学生形成语言体系。

Teaching Reflection: 亮点之处 1.本节课的重点是语法教学,因此设置多样化的语言活动才能避免枯燥无味的语法教学,同时语法是为“说”服务的,必须创设更多的情景让学生去说,去练习。2语法聚焦通过小组合作学习方法,让学生观察句子,小组讨论目标语言的用法,这样学生在练习中印象会更加深刻。
