本次课教学对象为八年级学生，教材是外研版初中英语课本八年级上册。本模块以“Animals in danger”为话题，以学习动词不定式的用法为主线，介绍了当前濒临灭绝,、需要人类保护的动物的情况。本单元的对话是关于贝蒂和玲玲在参观完动物园后引发的关于保护动物的讨论。通过学习本单元，要培养学生保护动物爱护环境的责任意识，要反思人类的行为，在此基础上，学生可以根据一些建议制定合理的动物保护措施。提到动物，学生们很感兴趣，也有许多的话要说，所以在教学中教师容易开展听说的活动，学生的积极性非常高。
