2. North points up on a map.
point 动词，意为“指；指向”。与point有关的短语有：point at 意为“指着”，后面接动作的目标，表示用某物对准某人或某物，常指较近的。
例如：
The teacher is pointing at the picture on the wall.
老师正指着墙上的画。
It's rude to point your fingers at people.
用手指指人是很不礼貌的。
point to 意为“指向”，后接动作的方向，表示用手或指针朝向某人或某物，常指较远的。
例如:

例如:
