look up 意为“(在词典、参考书中或通过电脑)查阅”,它是由“动
词+副词”构成的短语,可接名词或代词作宾语。若是代词作宾语,应放
在look和up之间;若是名词作宾语,名词放在look和up之间或up之后都
可以。

invent 意为“发明;创造”,指通过研究和实验而“创造;发明”出
前所未有的产品或装置,尤其指科技上的发明创造

一般说来,not+all/both/every-=部分否定;
none/neither/no-=完全否定;
any/either/ any-+not =完全否定。
every-,指那些以 every 开头的复合词,如everybody、everything、
everywhere等;
no-,指那些以 no 开头的复合词,如nobody、nothing、nowhere等;
any-,指那些以 any 开头的复合词,如:anyone、anything、
anywhere、anybody等。
例如:
None of them can do it. 他们没有一个人能做这个。(他们全部都
不会做。)
Not all of them can do it.他们并不是所有人都能做这个。(他们
并非全部都不会做,有一部分人会做。)

考点七 疑问词+动词不定式
知识讲解
“疑问词+动词不定式”结构常用在动词tell、wonder、ask、show等动
词后作宾语。当宾语从句的主语和从句的主语是同一人时,往往可以与
此结构互换。例如:
She didn't know where she should go.(=She didn't know where
to go.)她不知道该去哪儿。
【注意】 若疑问词是代词并且是动词不定式的宾语时,动词若是
不及物动词就要加介词构成及物动词词组。若疑问词为副词,该副词是
不定式的状语。试比较:
I don't know what to do. 我不知道该做什么。
I don't how to do it. 我不知道该如何做。
