Analysis of the Teaching Material 2a-2e为本单元阅读板块。读前活动2a从学生的已有认知出发,要求列出各种已知聚会名称,为2b的阅读活动作准备。2b以电子邮件的形式,为即将回美国的Ms. Steen举办惊喜聚会一事,提供发出邀请、拒绝邀请和接受邀请的阅读文本。在语言知识上,阅读文本拓展了一些常用词汇和短语,不仅是对单元语言目标的进一步拓展,更为后面的书面表达提供了参考词汇,2c部分通过问题的形式加深对文本的理解和巩固。活动 2d是语篇阅读知识的迁移和延伸,需要学生运用阅读语篇中的词汇完成一个聚会的邀请函。2e是读后拓展活动,是对阅读付 息的迁移运用。让学生假设自己喜爱的老师即将离开,为此策划一个送别会的活动。学生需要通过回答问题、思考并运用所学知识表达自己的观点。
Analysis of the Students 口头上向他人发出遗请、接受邀请或拒绝邀请,这些活动会 经常发生在学生的日常生活当中。但是用邀请函的方式有礼貌地发出邀请、拒绝邀请或接受邀请,对于学生来说是头一次 见到。这就需要学生认真阅读课文,弄清如何用电子邮件的形式写一封邀请函,又如何通过邮件方式进行有礼貌地接受或拒绝。为后续的写作积累经验。

Teaching Procedures Teacher’s Activities Students’ Activities Intention
Step 1Lead-in 1.T says: There are all kinds of parties. What kind of parties do you know Then plays a video and asks: What kind of party is this 2.Brain Storm. T says: What kind of parties do you know 看视频展开头脑风暴,积极讨论。 通过视频和趣味问答导入本课时主题:各种party。鼓励学生积极讨论,有效地激活学生与此话题相关的背景知识。
Step 2Pre-reading 1.Go through 2a. T let Ss write as many kinds of parties as possible. T may write down all the parties Ss think of on the board.2.Culture Focus. T says: What is a surprise party Do you know it Then makes Ss learn more about it.3.Predict. T asks Ss to look at the title and the picture. says: Now, David wants to invite his classmates to have a surprise party for his teacher Ms.Steen. What should he do first Ss discuss the question with partner. T may list the items on the board. Then T asks: How to make an invitation 4.T says: Now, David is writing an e-mail on the computer to make an invitation. Step 3While- reading 1.T leads Ss to scan the article,then answer the question:Who wrote the messages 2.T asks Ss to read the messages quickly. and find out why did the people write them 3.Ss match the reason with each message. Then check the answers.4.Careful-reading. T lets Ss read message 3 first and find these items:人物(who),时间(when),地点(where),原因(why),怎么样(how)。T may list the items on the board.5.Ss finish Invitation Card on PPt. T checks the answers with class.6.T asks Ss to read the questions on PPT, Then Ss read message 1 carefully and decide whether the statements are true(T) or false(F).7.T asks Ss to read the questions on PPT, Then Ss read message 2 carefully and answer questions.8.T asks Ss to read message 1,2 again, leads Ss to complete the chart.9.T lead Ss to think about how to reply to an invitation 10.Go through 2c. Step 4Post-reading 1.T says: Jake turned down the invitation. Do you think David would be angry Why or why not Ss have a discussion.2.T asks: If Ms. Steen comes to the surprise party, what will she do and feel How about the classmates 3.Go through 2d. First, T lets Ss read the passage, Ss catch the main and the most important ideas quickly,Then complete the invitation as quickly as possible.4.Go through 2e. T says: Now let’s read the 9 questions quickly.Then work with your partner. Ss work. T offer support as needed.5.T gives examples for Ss. 跟着老师思考,讨论。先读2d文章,然后根据课本信息完成填空。讨论举办party相关事宜:人物,时间,地点,内容等等。 激发对情景交际的讨论,引导礼仪交往。进一步巩固目标语言的运用。通过讨论回答问题,学会合理安排筹划活动,聚会。
Step 5Language Points Explanation 1.turn down 意为“拒绝”,相当于 refuse。turn down为“动词+副词”型短语,代词作宾语时,必须放在turn和down之间。turn down还可表示“调低(音量、温度等)”。I turned down her help.They offered her a job but she turned it down.2.bring sb. to sp. 带某人到某处,bring有“带来,拿来,取来”的意思,其他常用词组:bring sb.sth./ bring sth. for sb.She brought her friend to the party. bring 指带到说话者这来,通常与here搭配,而take则指从说话者这带走,通常与away 连用。两者方向相反。Bring your homework here, and take the book away.3.be glad to do sth. 乐意做某事4.help out (帮助…)分担工作、解决难题该短语为“动词+副词”型短语,其后跟代词作宾语时,代词应放help和out之间。I can’t solve this difficult problem. 阅读教学部分,采用读前、读中和读后活动的阅读教学模式,在读之前都做了相关的渗透与铺垫,有利于学生捕捉关键信息。2.学生通过阅读练习,复习了本单元的用法结构,巩固了提出邀请和做出应答目标句型。3.本节课我们主要学习了用书面形式向他人发出邀请、接受邀请或 拒绝邀请。重点是让学生带着具体的任务进行快速阅读和细读,以达到掌握本篇课文的主要内容的目的。然后引导学生学习邀请函的写作格式和内容,为下一节课的写作进行强有力的铺垫。 本篇课文生词量适中,内容简单,对于大部分同学来说不成问题。
有待改进 1.对于不同层次的学生,语言输出可以采取分层教学,给予学生更多操练应用的机会。2.对学生的关注面不够,老师在课堂上应尽可能多地提供给学生表达的机会,尤其是学困生,上课的过程中学生参与度不够,进行讨长时热情不高。3.阅读策略指导不够,阅读技巧指导方面需要加强。
