Analysis of the Teaching Material 3a-Self Check部分是一个模仿性写作模块,让学生在听、说、读的基础上,尝试简单的语言输出。3a是一个写作练习模块,该活动通过回答问题,让学生整体把握邀请函的格式、内容等,并复习相关短语,为后面的写作准备。3b重点训练邀请函的书写格式,以及礼貌地接受邀请或拒绝邀请。
Analysis of the Students 上一节课已经学过一篇邀请函,也和同学们认真探讨过邀请 丽的写作格式和需要写的内容。在本节课3a中又提供了一篇很好的范文。先认真阅读课文后根据所提示内容进行伤写, 并给学生提供了必要的写作框架,大大降低了写作的难度。相信只要同学们认真做好每一个环节,写好这篇作文就很简单了。

Teaching Procedures Teacher’s Activities Students’ Activities Intention
Step 1Lead-in 1.Review. T says: Let’s review the preparations for an invitation. Show the ways to make an invitation. Then call attention to the sentences to an invitation. 回顾有关邀请的相关话题。 回顾所学邀请方式和表达。为后面书写活动做铺垫。
Step 2Pre-writing 2.Go through 3a, T says: There is another invitation from Larry Smith,headmaster of No.9 High School. let’s make Student A read it to the class. 3.T lets Ss call attention to the six questions. Then Ss read the passage carefully, 4.Ss write the answers to these questions. T helps check the answer.5.T asks Ss to read the invitation again and fill in the mind map.6.Point Analysis. T leads Ss to think about the structure of the article: Salutation (称呼语)Body(正文)(event、when、where、what、how to reply)Signature(署名)7.Point Analysis. T lists the structure of article. 学生快读3a,找出主旨大意。细读文章,回答3a问题。检查答案。完成3a文章思维导图。在老师指引下,对3a内容进行结构分析(称呼语,中间,署名)。记下笔记。 通过阅读回答问题,从中发现有关邀请信的书写策略。通过分析邀请信的书写框架:Salutation (称呼语)Body(正文)(event、when、where、what、how to reply)Signature(署名)做到框架上一目了然。
Step 3While- writing 1.Go through 3b. T reads the instructions to the class. Tells Ss an invitation usually includes the five pieces of information.2.Firstly, write an invitation to a party or any other event using the words and phrases in the right box.3.T helps Ss lists the key point of invitation.4.T shows an example and asks students to follow the prompts to complete their article. 5.T reminds that Ss use the notes in 3a and T may give any help if necessary.6.T says: Then reply to your partner’s invitation by Email. If you turn down the invitation, give a good reason.7.T helps Ss lists the key point of invitation. and shows an example. Then asks Ss to follow the prompts to complete their article. 学生根据3a结构及关键词句,在老师的要点点拨下,学生完成一封邀请信的写作。写一封拒绝邀请的回信。 学生在书写的过程中,注重词汇选用,时态运用,单词拼写和连接词的使用等。
Step 4Post- writing 1.Peer-editing: T lets Ss exchange articles, evaluate it and then help each other correct them. T reminds Ss that they can follow the key tips on board.2.T lets some Ss read their passage to the class.3.T reads the instructions for activity 4 to the class. Points out student A's calendar on Page 72 and another’s calendar on Page 81. Asks students to make conversations. 4.T asks Ss to complete the tasks in Self Check and work on their own. Work on Self Check 1: 1.Fill in the blanks in the conversation. 2.Let Ss read the conversation first and try fill in the blanks. Work on Self check 2 1. Tell Ss how to do this task. T: You get these invitations but you can’t go. Write a refusal and a reason. 2. Do the first one for the Ss as a model: (1. I’m afraid I can’t. I have to prepare for the math exam.) 3. Ss try to complete the conversations. 4. Check the answers with the class. 学生交换文章,根据要点评价并相互修改。小组讨论。选中的同学积极表演。完成Self Check。 进一步熟悉写作要点。进一步熟悉练习有关邀请的情景交际对话。复习can/might 用法及邀请话题,引导礼仪交往。
Step 5Language Points Explanation 1.reply作不及物动词,“回答;答复”。同义词answer。第三人称单数形式为replies,过去式为replied. reply还可用作名词,意为“回答;答复”。I asked him where he was going, but he didn’t reply.2.by Friday“在周五之前”。介词by在此表示时间“不迟于,到…时为止”或“在…之前”。Can you finish the work by tomorrow 将知识点做好笔记 将本课重点汇总系统的进行讲解和分析,结合典例,帮助学生形成语言体系。

Teaching Reflection: 亮点之处
本节课是一节写作课,要求学生写一篇邀请函,然后同伴互换 再就同伴的邀请写一封回信,可以接受邀请也可以拒绝邀请,拒绝邀请的话要给出一个合适的理由。本节课先读后写,3a 给学生提供了一个非常好的范文,让学生了解邀请函写作的格式和几个要索,所以学生在进行写作的时候感觉有话可说,写得十分 迅速,效果也十分理想。只是有些学生对于时间的表达法不太熟练,出现了不少错误,所以在这方面还要加强。
有待改进 1.本节课环节较多,实际教学中应注意把握时间。
2.由于学生的已有认知水平不同,学生个体存在差异,课堂个别环节设计对于部分学生可能较难,可以根据实际教
学的需要删减或降低难度。3.学生的语言还不够丰富,还不能灵活运用语篇中好的句式。
