一、课题概述
本单元为听说课，话题是怎样庆祝生日，让学生了解国外的生日文化，比较中西方文化的不同。本单元的内容涉及中国孩子和外国孩子如何过生日，借此培养和提高学生的跨文化交际意识。同时本单元以对话为载体，采用隐性的教学方式引出了本模块的语法知识---频度副词。
二、教学目标
（一）知识与技能目标
1．词汇：掌握present, would, always, never, special, secret的基本含义并学会在特定的语境中运用这些单词。
2．语法：理解和体会always ,usually ,often ,never这四个频度副词以及他们在句中的位置。
3．功能：能够围绕生日聚会的相关内容进行交流，进行情景对话 。
（二）过程与方法目标
充分利用多媒体技术，融合图像、音乐和视频等多种元素帮助营造语言环境和增加学习的趣味性，同时更好的呈现和练习语言知识，使学生印象深刻。
（三）情感态度与价值观目标
1．培养学生有学好英语的信心，敢于用英语进行表达。引导学生体会英语学习中的乐趣，乐于接触课外与英语相关的生活、读物等。
2．乐于交友，乐于与他人合作。

1)掌握新单词different, habit, always, card, present, usually, often, never, get 的基本含义并学会在特定的语境中运用这些单词.

四、学习者特征分析
本单元涉及到的关于生日聚会的单词，学生在之前的学习中已经学习或接触过了，而且话题贴近学生生活，每个学生都有亲身体验，容易接受。在语法方面，学生已经在第五到第七模块学习了一般现在时的意义、构成和否定疑问形式，本单元要学习的频度副词需要学生重点理解和应用。
五、教法策略选择
1、利用音乐、图片、视频和游戏等来增强气氛，激发学生的学习兴趣，从而提高教与学的效果。积极创造轻松、和谐的气氛，让学生能比较主动的参与各个活动的训练中，因而得到听、说、读的全面锻炼。
2．引导学生在小组活动中积极与他人合作，相互帮助，共同完成学习任务。
五、教学资源和工具
在充分利用英语教材中学习材料的同时，利用多媒体设备（计算机，投影仪）向学生呈现生日聚会的相关图片，使得教学更加生动形象，营造真实的语言环境。另外声音文件和视频文件的应用更能引导学生进入语言氛围，使课堂更加生动。本单元中大量使用网络资源来充实课堂，教学资源的选择贴近教学实际和学生生活。

Step1 Warming-up
Watch a video about birthday party to attract the students’ attention and lead to the new lesson.
Step 2 Vocabulary.
1. Talk about “ what do you do on your birthday party?” and learn the new words with some beautiful pictures.
2. Check your memory. Guess the words and expressions about birthday according to some pieces of sound .
3. To learn the frequency adverbs by talking about the different habits of Daming and his friends on how to celebrate their birthdays.
Step 3. Listening
1. Listen and number the words as you hear them.
2. Listen and check the true sentences.
3. Finish the Activity 5. Complete the sentences with the frequency adverbs from the box.
Step 4. Make notes
1.Underline some important sentences including frequency adverbs.
2. Learn the usage of frequency adverbs.
3. Play a game “ choose a present ” to practice the usage of frequency adverbs.
Step 5 Apply
1. Watch a video about another birthday party.
2. Find out the sentence patterns.
3. Work in pairs. Make a dialogue to talk about the birthday party.

Sum up the vocabulary about birthday, the usage of frequency adverbs and key sentences.

八、课后反思
教学目标的达成较好，词汇和语法目标能够基本达成，大部分学生能够正确朗读新单词，并能在特定的语境中使用。本课的重难点，即频度副词的使用也接受得较好，包括频度副词的意思、句中的位置和时态等。
课堂上学生的参与程度较高，生动有趣的图片和鲜活的情景调动了学生的积极性，听说练习很充分，知识得到了巩固和拓展。
本课中，导入时用了一段生日歌的视频，学习新单词我使用了新单词的音频，练习词组时采用听声音猜动作的方式，呈现课本对话做听力练习时使用了课本配套的对话音频，练习频度副词时使用了两首英文歌片段，拓展阶段我使用了一段来自剑桥少儿英语关于生日聚会的视频材料，并设计的相应的活动题目，在我努力营造的多媒体的语境中，学生的学习效果比较理想。
