7.even if 即便,即使(=even though)
引导让步状语从句,若从句不属事实,则从句谓语用虚拟语气

2. I wouldn’t tell you even if I knew. 即便我知道,我也不会告诉你。

1. 强调句型的基本结构:
It is/was +被强调的部分+that(who)+ 其他成分。
被强调的部分可以是:主语,宾语,时间状语,地点状语,原因状语等)
Eg. It is what you do that matters. 重要的正是你的行动。
2. 一般疑问式:
Is/Was it + 被强调部分 + that/who + 其他成分?
Eg. Was it during the Second World War that he was saved? 他就是在二战期间被救了吗?
3. 特殊疑问式:
Wh- +is/was it + that/who + 其他成分?
Eg: Where was it that you lost your car? 你到底在哪儿丢了车?
4. 注意对not….until 结构的强调:
It was not until………. that……… (not 前移,that后只能用肯定形式)
Eg. It was not until he got off the bus that he realized that his watch was missing.
直到他下车他才意识到他的手表不见了。

Teaching aims:
Knowledge and skills
1. To get the students to learn to use the following important new words and phrases freely: consume, quantities, consequence, glance, come about, result in, even if, keep on.
2. To get the students to learn to use the following important sentence pattern: it is/was + 被强调的部分+that/who + 其他成分。
Process and methods:
To help the students to understand the meaning of the above useful new words and phrases in the context, and then give some explanations about them, and at last offer some exercises to make students master their usages.
To ask the students to make up their own sentences by imitating the above sentence patterns.
Emotion, attitude and value:
To stimulate students’ interest in learning English.
To develop students’ sense of cooperation and teamwork.
Teaching important and difficult points:
Important new words and expressions: quantity of, oppose, come about, results in, even if.
Important sentence pattern: it is/was + 被强调部分 + that + 其他成分。
Teaching steps:
Step 1: Before class
Enjoy a famous English song: Let it go
Step 2: Summary
Review the passage, doing a summary, paying attention to the important words and phrases.
Step 3:Lead-in
Ask the students to appreciate a short video, telling them we can do something about global warming. We can become educators, but before that we should be learners, so let us learn the language seriously.
Step 4: Paper 18
Take Paper 18 out and check the answers.
While checking, we should put stress on the important sentences.
(Maybe the process is boring; try my best to refresh them.)
Step 5: Contest
Just now, we learn the important words, phrases and sentence pattern. Now I will use a game to check how they master them.
Step 6: Homework
Make up 5sentences, using quantities of, come about, result in, keep on and it is + 被强调部分 + that + 其他成分。
