单元名称 Starter Unit 2What's this in English
1.单元教学设计说明: 本单元要求学生掌握英文字母Ii—Rr,能认读其印刷体和手写体字母的大小写等四种形式。书写(大写和小写,笔顺,笔画)基本合乎要求。注意总结元音字母a 、e、i和o的发音规则。本单元围绕“认物”这一话题开展听、说、读、的学习活动,学习一些简单的事物的英文词汇,并能用所学的句型去熟悉周围的一些事物的名称。让学生们学会在生活中如何确认事物。通过辨认事物,学生们学习一些词汇,并巩固所学的句型。
2.学情分析: 本单元围绕“认物”这一话题开展听、说、读、写的学习活动。通过所学的句型— What's this in English — It's a…— What's that in English — It's a… ”去熟悉周围的一些事物的名称。此外,通过学习让学生们明白this和that均指代单数的事物,this指代离说话者较近的事物,that指代离说话者较远的事物,it指代上文出现的事物,也可指代上文出现的this或that。用英语确认周围常见事物比较适合初学者的实际情况,难度不大,易调动学生们的学习兴趣。
3.单元目标与重点难点: 一、单元目标: 1. 语言能力:
1)掌握ruler、map、quilt、jacket、key、pen 、orange 7个单词;
2)学习如何identify things 确认物体What’s this in English 及其回答。 3)能掌握字母Ii~Rr 的字母顺序,读音及书写。 2. 文化意识:在认识事物的学习活动中培养学生的想象力和创造力;激发学生学习英语的兴趣,发挥学生学习英语的主动性; 3.思维品质:通过观察图片和周围环境的事物,发展学生的观察归纳的思维品质。 4. 学习能力:通过游戏等多种形式的学习活动,培养学生对初学知识的听、说、读、写能力和灵活运用初学的日常交际用语的能力。 二、教学重点: 1.运用 — What's this/that — It's… 句型对周围的事物进行问答练习。 2.运用Spell it, please句型,练习拼写所学的有关事物的单词,并强化记忆这些单词。
3.总结归纳元音字母Aa、Ee、Ii与Oo在单词中的常见发音规律,并能利用所学的规律来尝试拼读新的单词。 教学难点:总结归纳元音字母Aa、Ee、Ii与Oo在单词中的常见发音规律,并能利用所学的规律来尝试拼读新的单词。
4.单元整体教学思路: 在新授字母I到R时,可利用字母、卡片、实物和多媒体等教学设备,创设与本课话题相关的情景,如怎谈、怎样用英语说它,怎样拼写。围绕本节课的教学目标,课前要求学生通过预习谈论这个用英语怎么说,课堂上通过小组活动展示,并对学生的自学情况进行评价,课中设计一些贴近学生实际的教学任务和活动,让学生运用本节课的要点句型。What's this in English It’s a/an...spell it,pleas等句型,谈论自己所看到的,不断鼓励学生大胆发表自己的观点和想法,增强学生开口讲英语的自信,感受学习乐趣。 在本单元的教学中可采用的学习策略有:兴趣活动教学策略,多采用做游戏和猜谜等形式;任务型教学策略,在教学中应突出语言的应用性原则,把听说、讨论、表演、游戏贯穿于教学,使课堂形式多样化,充分发挥学生的主动性。采用自主学习、小组合作学习、Role playing、 pair work等方法开展听、说、读、写的学习活动。 单元课时分配: 第一课时:Starter Unit 2What's this in English ((1a-4d)

教师活动: 1. Show some pictures for Ss to look and say out the English words ,then read them. --What’s this/that in English --It’s a/an.... 2. Play games and guess the words. 3. work on 1a. Ask Ss to look at the picture in 1a.Read the words and sentences carefully.Then look for the small letters in the picture for the big letters.Check answers.

环节四: Listening and practice
教师活动: 1.Work on 1b. Play the tape for Ss to listen and repeat. 2.Work on 1c. Pair work:Ask Ss to practice the conversation in the picture with partners. 活动意图:听力学习输入基本句型,训练学生的听力水平。口语交际,学生熟练所学的口语表达物品。
环节五:Listen and write
教师活动: 1.Work on 2a. Introduce English letters Ii~Rr. Play the tape for the first time. Ask Ss to listen and repeat. 2.Work on 2b. Play the tape for the second time. Ask Ss to listen and number the letters.Then Let some Ss read their words to check the answers. 3.Work on 2c,2d. First, make Ss look at the picture carefully in 2c.Then discuss how to write these English letters.T goes around the classroom to give any help. Let some Ss come to the Bb, and write down the letters on the Bb. Check with the whole class. 4.Work on 2e. Ask Ss to look at the pictures and talk about what these letters mean. 学生活动: 1.Ss isten and repeat. 2.Ss listen again and number the letters, then check answers. Play the tape again for Ss to listen and complete the words under the pictures in 3a. Then check answers. 3.Work on 3c. Play the tape of 3c for Ss to listen to the conversation. 环节十: Listening
教师活动: 1.Work on 3d. Tell Ss to look at the box in 3d. Then let some Ss read the words aloud. Make sure they know the meaning of every word. Play the tape of 3d for Ss to listen to the conversations and number the words. 2.Work on 3e.
Ask Ss to work in pairs and talk about the things in the picture in 3e. T: Look at the picture in 3e. This is Helen's room. Eric and Helen are talking about the objects in her room. What can you see in the room T:Very good! 教师活动: Work on 4a&4b. 1.Ask Ss to look at the chart and fill in the missing letters in 4a. 2. Ask Ss to read the words in the box.Then umber the words in alphabetical order in 4b. 3. Check answers in class. 学生活动: Ss write the missing letters. Then check the answers with his/her partner. Ss number all the words in alphabetical order then let some Ss read their numbers to 3.check the answers.
活动意图:复习所学的字母,按照字母顺序排列单词,这里练习学生对字母的熟练程度。
环节十二:Practice the pronunciation
教师活动: Work on 4c&4d. 1. Play the tape for Ss to listen and repeat the letters and words. 2. Ask Ss to divide the letters into groups according to the pronunciation. 3. Explain the letters and write them according to the PPT. 4. Ask Ss to read the letters and words in column 1 and guide them to read the new words in column 2. 学生活动: Listen and repeat 2.Read the letters and words
活动意图:通过讲授字母的分类,学习音素知识,这个知识点较难一些,学生多加练习。
环节十三: Exercises

活动意图:从初一开始培养学生认真听课的习惯,引导学生们学会听课,学会巩固练习所学的内容。
