What was Isaac's childhood like
Isaac was born on 25th December 1642 on a farm. He lived with his grandmother before starting school. 1题His mother wanted him to become a farmer and looked after the family farm. However, Isaac much preferred studying.
What did Isaac learn about
In 1661, Isaac studied at the University of Cambridge where he learnt about the famous Greek thinkers, Aristotle and Plato. However, Isaac soon became interested in new ideas about science which were becoming popular at the time. 2题These ideas were part of a movement called the Scientific Revolution(科学革命) which caused him to begin questioning what he had learnt before about science and nature.
