1. cook /k k/ v.烹调;煮;烧

Language points:
2. This is Tony speaking.我是托尼。
此句是电话用语,意为“我是……”。
用英语打电话,表达“我是……”用“This is...(speaking).”,而不用“I am...”。
3. happen /'h p n/ v.发生
“What's happening?”常用来询问某人在做/忙什么,相当于“What are you doing?”。
eg:What's happening,Lucy
露西,你在做什么?
Language points:
“...happen to sb.”表示“某人发生了……事”。
eg:What is happening to her 她怎么了?
“happen to do sth.”表示“碰巧做某事”。
eg:She happens to be at home today.
今天她碰巧在家。
表示“某地(某时)发生了某事”,常用“sth.+happen+地点/时间”这一结构来表达,此时主语应是事情。
eg:Accidents like this happen all the time.
这类事故经常发生。

4. ready /'redi/ adj.有准备的;准备好的
get ready for“为……做好准备”,
get ready to do sth.“准备好做某事”。

M10 The Spring Festival单元整体教学设计
一、模块主题 常见节假日、文化体验;世界主要国家的传统节日;世界主要国家的文化习俗与文化景观、节假日与庆祝活动;家庭与家庭生活;劳动习惯与技能,热爱劳动;劳动实践,劳动品质。
二、模块内容分析 U1在传统节日春节的主题下,讨论如何以实际行动准备春节庆祝活动。通过描述不同人物正在做的事情(现在进行时态)强调了家庭成员人人参与准备活动的劳动意识。 U2在准备庆祝春节的话题下,关注家庭主要成员(my mother)的当天劳动情况(现在进行时态)和通常的庆祝行为(一般现在时态),在应用实践和迁移创新环节能区分使用这两种时态。Unit 1已经有了初步的讨论,在Unit 2需要结合照片开展针对个体的细节描述,培养学生细致的观察能力和细节的表达能力。 U3作为复习和拓展单元,目的是进一步复习和巩固对春节及其准备活动的描述,并且拓展知识“给朋友写一封信,介绍圣诞节”这一语言性输出。
三、学情分析 学生已经进入初一学习后已三个月,初步掌握了基本的阅读技能,能够阅读技能,能够阅读相应水平的文章,并能从中获取具体信息,概括文段大意。学生对中国的传统节日春节有一定的了解,知道一些春节的习俗和庆祝活动,但词汇量有限,难以用英文准确表达出来。
四、模块教学目标 通过本单元的学习,学生能够: 目标a:能听懂有关为“节日”做准备的句子,能听辨动词词组。 目标b:能就正在做或正在发生的事情进行简单的问答练习。流利的说出含有本模块生词的短语。 目标c:能读懂有关节日描述的短文,并且能将段落与图片,段落与问题搭配。 目标d: 学会写要点,句子以及段落,用and连接句子。

三、教材分析: What---语篇主题和主要内容 春节是我国一个传统的节日,也是全年最重要的一个节日。通过学习加深学生对春节的认识,对各项习俗有进一步的了解。 Why---语篇传递的主题意义
通过学习,让学生乐于接触并了解世界不同的人们的节假日,乐于参加相关实践活动,提高对英语的学习兴趣,培养对异国文化,生活习俗的兴趣提高对本国文化的认识。 How---文体结构、语言特点及功能 整个教学内容主要介绍贝蒂一家人春节之前的准备工作,主要学习现在进行时,要求学生能够了解be动词和动词ing的现在进行时,为学习现在时打下了良好的基础,并通过问答练习,对话表演,及阅读活动,巩固,让学生运用现在进行时表达实际需要的技能。
四、 教学目标: 学习能力目标: 正确运用词汇:festival, ready, cook, meal, learn, dragon, lantern, sweep, floor, happen, help, tradition,bad, luck, paint, mean, decorate,decoration, everyone, haircut, give, dumpling, sweet, fireworks, few, want, week, round, bring, colour, something, cut, Christmas, long. 现在进行时的问与答,一般现在时。 思维品质目标: 乐于接触并了解世界不同地方人们的节假日,乐于参加相关英语实践活动,提高对英语的学习兴趣,培养对异国文化,生活习俗的兴趣,提高对本国文化的认识。参加各种英语活动,克服困难,在新环境中进一步树立准确地语言学习观。 文化意识目标: 了解英语国家重要节假日及其主要庆祝方式,鼓励学生了解世界,加强交流。
教学重难点 重点/难点: 要求学生能综合在运用现在进行时的各种句型。 用现在进行时表达句子,并能正确使用be动词和动名词。
六、教学过程

Task 1.Listening We are going to hear a conversation between Tony and Lingling, listen to the conversation and answer two questions. 1)What is Tony doing 2)What are Lingling and her family doing 3)Is Lingling’s father helping her? Task 2.Reading Read the passage by yourself, and then finish the exercise. Task 3.In China Spring Festival is a traditional festival, everybody is quite busy now. In Lingling’s family,Lingling is making lanterns. Task 4: This time let’s look at the character “chun” again, then ask the students some deep understanding questions.
