This lesson is mainly focus on topic about home town and country, and help students know how to compare two places in their home town.
Teaching objectives Knowledge object Students can learn the new words and phrases about home town and country.
Ability objective Students can use words and sentences to describe their home town and country. And able to predict unknown words, and practice scanning ability.
Emotional objective Arouse students emotion of loving their home town and country, and be proud of the country they live in.

Part Ⅰ Presentation Step1: Lead-in Students enjoy a short video about how Shenzhen become a big city. Arouse student’s interest in the changing of our country. Step2: Free talk Let students work in group to discuss the changing of Shenzhen, and show some pictures, then work out a list of them. Part Ⅱ Practice Step3: Task 1 Find out changes of Shenzhen 1) Students read the dialogue in Page 10, and then find out core information with help of chart. 2) Conclude the information. When: last weekend Where: Shenzhen How it change: Before Vs. Now Small village Big city(bigger) Busier(as busy as Hong Kong) Population: over ten million(lager than many other cities) Street: Cleaner and wider Famous places: Diwang Tower 3) Finish the practice in Page 11. Part Ⅲ Production Step4: Task 2 Discuss Shenzhen Vs You home town Students use the model chart in Page11 Part5. Work in pair. Talk about the difference between Shenzhen and their hometown. Part Ⅳ Summary Step5: Let student to review what have they learn today, and work out a poster in each group. Part Ⅴ Homework Step6: According to their poster to write some changes happened in their home town.
