【词汇用法】
afraid adj.害怕的
害怕去做某事be afraid to do sth
be afraid of doing “害怕或担心发生某种(意外)情况而不敢做某事”;
He is afraid to go across the bridge.
He is afraid of falling down.
常用的结构:
be afraid of sb./sth.“害怕某人或某物”;
be afraid + that从句,意为“担心……”。
不要害怕提出问题!Don’t be afraid to ask questions!
worry adj.&n. 担心的
worry作名词时,意为“担心,令人担忧的事”。
worry作不及物动词时,常构成短语worry about sb./sth. 担心某人或某事。be worried about 担心……,强调状态。对……担心worry about…

3.angry adj. 生气的
be angry with sb.对某人生气

advise sb. about / on sth. 就某事向某人提出建议

advise sb. not to do sth. 建议某人不要做某事
advice n. 建议,劝告
advise名词形式为advice,“劝告;建议”。是不可数名词,表示“一条建议”用“a piece / word of advice”。
e.g. Let me give you a piece / word of advice.
拓展:give sb. advice 给某人建议
take one’s advice 接受某人的建议
follow one’s advice 遵循某人的建议
拓展:suggestion为可数名词,提议;建议。
搭配:advise sb about/on sth
advise doing sth. 建议做某事
advise sb. to do sth. 建议某人做某事
advise that+从句 建议……

不可数【经验】 & 可数【经历】
I had an exciting experience last week.经历
He has one year’s teaching experience.经验
He is a police officer with experience(经验) and has many experiences(经历).
【重点句型】
1.If people have problems, they should keep them to themselves.
如果人们有问题,他们应该把这些问题留给自己。
① keep...to oneself 意为:保守秘密, 把问题/烦恼埋在心底。
② keep....to oneself 还可意为“不与人来往;不交际”
我们应该为他们的忧虑保守秘密。
We should keep their worries to themselves.
keep在此意为“保留;保存”。
themselves为反身代词,意为“他们/她们/它们自己”。反身代词常用作动词的宾语,
表示动作的承受着为主语本身。
Keep还可表示“(使…)保持(某种状态或关系);一直…”,
后面接动词时,用动词的-ing形式,形成keep doing …结构。

mistake后可接介词短语、动词不定式、现在分词作定语。接about表示“关于……的错误”, 接in表示“某方面的错误”。

(1)unless连词, 意为“除非,如果不”, 用于引导一个否定意义的真实条件句,相当于if ...not.
If引导的条件状语从句,用一般现在时代替一般将来时,即主将从现.
(2)unless可与if引导的否定条件从句进行同义句转换
如:如果你不出示通行证,我就不让你进去。
I won’t let you in unless you show me your pass.
=I won’t let you in if you don’t show me your pass.
注意:当主句用一般将来时或是祈使句时,unless引导的从句常用一般现在时。
There will be more pollution unless people drive less. 如果人们不少开车,将会有更多的
污染。
Don’t pour the water into the river unless you make sure it is clean enough. 不要把水倒进河里,除非你们保证它足够干净。
You will miss the bus unless you hurry up.
你要不快点就错过班车了。
We can’t be successful unless we keep working hard.
我们不会取得成功,除非我们持续努力工作。
5.Sometimes they have problems with their schoolwork, and sometimes with their friends.
have problems with… 在……方面遇到问题,相当于have trouble with/difficulty in sth.
例:一些老年人不适应城市的生活。
Some old people have some problems with the life in the city.
Some students may have problems/trouble/difficulty with English learning.
have problems/trouble/difficulty(in) doing sth. 意为“做某事有困难”。
Some students have problems/trouble/difficulty making friends.
6.In English, we say that sharing a problem is like cutting it in half.
cut…in half 把……切成两半;把……一切为二
例:请把这个橙子切成两半。
Please cut the orange in half.
Put the two pieces of bread together and cut in half to make a sandwich .

Nirmal Purja has set several world records after climbing the world's 14 highest mountains in less than seven months.
