Unit 10 On the beach
一、教学背景
Join in 教材Book III中Unit 10 第五部分内容是几个来自英语国家的孩子介绍自己喜欢的海滩,教学内容繁杂,其中涉及到的地名,尤其是海滩对于教师和学生来说都很陌生,如果按传统方式教学,教学时间显得非常局促,课堂容量也难以拓展,所以,笔者从教学实际出发,进行了一次基于网络平台的课堂教学。
二、教学过程设计
教学用具:多媒体网络课件等。
教学目标:
知识目标:
1.认识世界上一些国家:the USA, Canada, UK, Australia; 海滩:Queen Charlotte Island, Daytona, Northern Ireland.
2.巩固使用下列句子:
I’m (Cindy) from New York.
I live in (Canada).
My favourite beach is on (Daytona, Florida).
I like (swimming in the warm water).
My (brother) thinks (driving on the beach) is (cool).
能力目标:
1.学会在阅读中筛选、利用收集到的信息;
2.利用IE浏览器上网查阅学习资料;
3.学习使用网上词典查阅单词。
情感目标:
1.通过对世界其他国家、海滩等了解,激发学生的英语学习兴趣,树立学生的世界意识和跨文化交流意识;
2.通过网络提供的庞大信息量,使学生认识到信息技术的优越性,激起学生的好奇心,激励学生积极利用现代信息技术学习英语。

一、导入
1. Listen to the music.
