The idea of a pet for an elderly person is one that is often considered. Elderly people may miss their friends and family who are no longer around. However, a kitten (a young cat) is not a good idea for an elderly person.
Kittens are tiring. Elderly people, even those in the best of health, will have a lot of difficulty chasing after a kitten and, unluckily, kittens do need a lot of care. They need to be trained not to destroy furniture and not to run up curtains(窗帘), and they need a lot of fun-time which an elderly person probably won't be able to give them. And an elderly person will not want to look for the cat. It needs much physical energy.
It is not cheap to care fora cat of any age, but kittens can be particularly expensive.
They need to be taken to the animal doctors for regular health checks, especially when they are young. Cat food is usually expensive, and their beds, toys and other things all cost much money. For an elderly person living on a pension(退休金), the cost can be more than they can bear.
Provided that an elderly person really does want an animal friend * an older cat would be a much better choice. Getting one from a cats * home should make sure that it is already well trained. And with a little bit of care, it will live in a home with an elderly person. Asking advice from the cats' home should make sure that a gentle cat will be good for an elderly person.
Anything that may cause extra stress (压力) for an elderly person should be carefully I considered. So think of other ways to improve their quality of life.

With a growing public awareness of environmental protection, electric buses are more and more popular. But the high cost of their power cell is still a problem.
The power cell costs almost half of the price for a whole electric bus, making it difficult to do business. Bus maker Anhui Ankai based in the city of Hefei has come up with an idea for new energy buses, selling plug-in buses, but leasing out(出租) the power cell. According to the company, the leasing policy will help make the pricing of the pure electric passenger buses is as low as the traditional oil-powered buses.
Against the increasing oil prices, leasing will enable the bus buyers to further move toward the electric buses, the company says, with global economy beginning to recover and markets rebounding(复苏), the oil prices must continue to rise. Renting the power cell makes the cost of driving Ankai's electric buses lower than the fuel-powered buses.
More importantly, the leasing policy will allow Ankai to manage and reuse the cells, helping reach the best efficient use of resources.
As China is on the way to build a more eco-friendly and resource-saving society, all kinds of industries are moving in that direction.
