该板块的活动主题是“学习做出人生抉择”。阅读文本是一篇人物小传。文章按照时间顺序叙述了林巧稚的一生,其中着重描述了她曾面临的人生抉择,例如:是遵循中国传统的道德观念结婚成家,还是不顾学费昂贵去追求自己的医学梦?而林巧稚所作出的抉择无不反应了她坚定的信念,美好的心灵,高度的职业责任感和奉献精神。
Ⅱ.学情分析
2班属于高一年级第二梯队,除了少数偏科严重,大部分学生对英语有一定的热情,在老师的引导下愿意进行思考,有一定的配合度。但是主动性比较差,表现力也会弱一些。
Ⅲ.课时教学目标
By the end of this class, students should be able to:1. Understand what a biography is.2. Scan the text and fill in the forms of Lin’s experience, major choices and the results of them. 3. Learn about Lin Qiaozhi’s life and analyze the good qualities behind Lin’s choices.4. Learn to make choices in life and reflect on their daily choices with the reasons.

本节课围绕“学会做出人生选择展开”。从聊“选课”开启课堂,贴近学生的实际生活,引起共鸣。课堂的核心包括:传记的理解;林巧稚的人生经历;面临的主要选择;选择产生的后果;分析人物的优良品质。层层递进,步步相扣,让学生对林巧稚有充分的认识,并且在她身上学习到优秀的人格品质。在讨论环节,也设计供选择题目,目的是让学生“学即用”,做出自己的选择,表达自己的看法。最后“无论做出什么选择,不忘初心”结束今天的课堂。
