托尼,你打算在中国呆很长时间吗?
1) intend作“计划;打算;想要”讲时,表示想要做而未做的事情。intend to do sth.打算做某事;想要做某事。
2) for long 相当于for a long period of time, 表示“很长时间”。
Finney intends to go to Australia next year if all goes well.
如果一切顺利,芬尼打算明年去澳大利亚。

even if (=even though)意为“即使, 纵然”,引导让步状语从句。注意even if 引导的从句往往是假设性的,相当于汉语的“即使”“纵然”“就算”“哪怕”。even though 引导的从句内容往往是真实的, 主要用于引出不利用于主句情况的信息,相当于汉语的“尽管”“虽然”。

bring “带来;拿来”,指拿到或带到说话人所在的地方。

carry “搬;扛;提”,表示携带的动作,不说明方向。
