hardly是副词，意为“几乎不，几乎没有”，是一个具有否定意义的词，使用时，不要与hard混淆。
[辨析] hard与 hardly
①hardly一般只有副词形式，意为“几乎不，几乎没有”。
②hard不仅可以作副词还可以作形容词，意为“坚硬的，困难的”；当副词
用时，它的意思是“努力地”。当表示“努力或用力”时，用副词hard，不
要用hardly。

侧重“点”。

waste是及物动词，意为“浪费；滥用”，接名词或代词作宾语。当表示在
某人(物、事)上浪费时间(金钱、精力)等时，其宾语后常接介词 on+n. 或接
(in/on)+v.-ing。反义词是save。作名词时，含义为“废物；浪费；荒地”。
