◎观察思考:1.Eventually, the famous doctor saved the dying child.最终,那位名医救活了那个奄奄一息的孩子。

◎用法总结:
die 动词,表示“死,死亡”,指因为生病、年老、负伤等原因而死,是非延续性动词,不能同表示一段时间的状语连用
dying die的现在分词,做定语或表语,指“垂死的,要死的”
dead 形容词,指“死的,无生命的”,表示状态,可以同表示一段时间的状语连用。如果表达“死了多长时间”,用“have/has been dead for+时间段”或“died+时间段+ago”
death 名词,指“死,死亡”,做主语或宾语

◎观察思考:这里when引导的句子是“ 时间状语从句 ”。

◎用法总结: 用表示时间的连词连接一个句子作状语,这样的主从复合句就是时间状语从句。连接时间状语从句的连接词有:when、 before、 after、 while、 as soon as、 until、 since等,这里要注意一点的是,如果主句是一般将来时,从句只能用一般现在时表示将来意义。
主句动作过去时,从句时态要一致。
主句动作将发生,将来时态常常用。
时间条件从句中,现在时态要记清。
