区分excited与exciting的用法
根据句意选填excited或exciting

◎学法指导:一般来说,过去分词(ed)的形容词,多形容人或其他生物的情绪或感受,对于被修饰的对象来说,这种形容词体现了它的主观感受,意为“兴奋的;激动的”,表示个人的感情。现在分词(ing)的形容词,多形容客观事物体现在外的性质,其修饰的对象多不具有生命,意为“令人感到兴奋的;使人激动的”,表示物体的性质。
加强学生对“过去分词”和“现在分词”做形容词的理解,可以着重练习两种形容词形式的详细用法。如:interested/interesting; moved/moving; surprised/surprising; pleased/pleasing; bored/boring; tired/tiring; amazed/amazing; frightened/frightening; puzzled/puzzling等。

辨析when、while和as
◎观察思考:

◎用法总结:1.在时间状语从句中,when翻译成“当……的时候”可位于句首和句中,是连词,起连接主句和从句的作用,不做从句的任何成分。2.在定语从句中,when 不翻译,不能位于句首,通常前面是表示时间的名词,是关系副词,在从句中代替先行词做从句的时间状语。
