从句
主句
担任状语成分的为状语从句。时间状语从句说明主句动作发生或进行的时间。

从句由连词引导，通常可以放在句首或句末。放在句首时，常用逗号与主句分开；放在句末时，从句前往往不加逗号。
时间状语从句用法可以用八个字来概况：
主将从现或主过从过
主将从现：主句用了将来时，从句就要用现在时
主过从过：主句用了过去时，从句也要用过去时
时态

相同点：when 和while 都可以作从属连词。引导时间状语从句。都有“当……的时候”的意思。
when与while用于过去时态，引导时间状语从句
不同点：when常引导一般过去时的句子，而while引导的前后两个句子只能用过去进行时。when和while在句子中可以转换。

It was a fine day. Darren, Kangkang and I got up early in the morning. After we checked our bikes and bags, we rode to Tian'anmen Square.
After one and a half hours, we arrived at Tian'anmen Square.We came to Tian'anmen Rostrum first. There was a large picture of Chairman Mao on it. “Chairman Mao once announced the founding of the People's Republic of China and the first national flag was raised here,” Kangkang told us.
After we visited Tian'anmen Rostrum, we came to the Monument to the People's Heroes. It was in the center of the square. There were many peopel there. We took a lot of pictures.
While we were having fun exploring, I found that Darren was lost. Kangkang and I were very worried. We looked for him everywhere. We even asked a policeman for help. Thank goodness! We found him at last. We were so excited and happy when we met again.
What a special trip!

时态：

It was a good day. My friends and I made a decision to go to the mountains to go camping. We felt so excited that we all got up very early in the morning.
After we checked all the things well, we went there on our bikes. We had a rest at the foot of the mountain. After parking our bikes,it took us two hours to get to the top of the mountain. We enjoyed camping there. Suddenly, I saw a goat and I ran after it. Finally,I didn’t catch it but got lost. I felt very worried.
Luckily, I found a farmer and asked him for help.He helped me get back in the end. We should ask someone around us for help when we are lost.
