Lewis Carroll was born in 1832. His real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. He had a terrible stuttering(口吃的) problem, but he loved to tell stories. World Water Day( WWD) began in 1993. It aims to protect freshwater resources! World Water Day is on March 22 every year. This year it focuses(聚焦) on groundwater.
Groundwater is water in rocks, sands and gravel(砾石) that can hold water under our feet. Groundwater is a hidden treasure that enriches(使丰富) our lives. In the driest parts of the world, it may be the only water people have.

Nowadays, adults have a lot of pressure(压力) from society. Jessica Martin, who teaches art at Westside School, thought the magic words of her students could bring calm and happiness to people. So she worked with students on a project they called “PepToc”.
In fact, PepToc had two parts — one was the hotline, and the other was encouraging posters.
