(2)put sth. to good use 意为“好好利用某物;使某物发挥作用”,也可以说 make good use of sth.。

He’ll be able to put his experience to good use in the new job.
他将能在新的工作中好好利用他的经验。

build sth. out of ... 表示“用……修建某物”,相当于 build sth. with ...。out of 在此处意为“用……(建造)”。

辨析

found 意为“创立;创建” ,侧重打下基础或创办,一般指兴建城市,建立国家、党派或创办大学等
build 意为“建筑;建造”,指施工建筑,如房屋、桥梁、道路等的建造
put up 着重指建造或搭起一个具有高度的、具体的物体
