【知识梳理1】  6 Percy Buttons 珀西.巴顿斯    I have just moved to a house in Bridge Street. Yesterday a beggar knocked at my door. He asked me for a meal and a glass of beer. In return for this, the beggar stood on his head and sang songs. I gave him a meal. He ate the food and drank the beer. Then he put a piece of cheese in his pocket and went away. Later a neighbour told me about him. Everybody knows him. His name is Percy Buttons. He calls at every house in the street once a month and always asks for a meal and a glass of beer. 1.beggar: v: 过去式: -er/-ar/-or: 2.ask用法: 3.piece: 4.away: 5.in return for: 例:①You lent me this interesting book last month. In return (for it), I’ll show you some picture books. ②He doesn't want anything in return. 6.call at+ cal on + 7.时态 【知识梳理2】 Yesterday a beggar knocked at my door. knock:①knock at 敲(门、窗等) knock at the door;knock at the window ②knock off 与off连用时有一些特殊含义,一般用于口语 vt. (价格上)减去,除去,打折扣 They knocked five dollars off the price of the coat. vi. 下班,停止,中断(工作等) He knocked off for lunch at half past eleven. ③knock sth./sb. off+地点 把某物/某人从某地撞到.. knock the vase off the table. I knocked the boy off the bicycle. beg: beg sb. to do sth.请求某人做某事=request sb. to do sth. =ask sb to do/let make have sb do beg for sth beg for help 【知识梳理3】 Everybody knows him. everybody作为主语一定作单数看待, 属于不定代词 所有的不定代词单独作为主语一律为单数看待 : somebody,anybody,everything等 ※all指人时,动词用复数;all指物时,动词用单数.例如: "All are present and all is going well."由all of,a lot of some of, none of等+名词作主语时,谓语动词的单数形式应与名词一致。 例句: None of the books (satisfy) the students. None of this meat (be) fit to eat. All of the research work (design)by the chief engineer. All of the students (are)against the plan for an outing at this time of the term. 【知识梳理4】 Everybody knows him. _____ know him. a. They all b. All of we c. Every d. Each they all of us, we all 我们所有人 every +n. 每一个 every person likes… each adj.&pron. 每一个 each +n;each 直接作主语或者宾语 each person likes.../each likes... every只能是形容词性,强调整体,常用来指一个大的、不确定的数目,不能直接做主语;each既可作形容词,又可作代词,强调个体,常用于以一个确定的并通常是有限的数目,在作代词时,直接作主语或宾语,使用第三人称单数 Every child enjoys Christmas. Each of us has his own work to do. They each have a share. 【知识梳理5】冠词 当表示不确定的某个人或物时,用不定冠词a/an(单数, 可数名词);当表示不可数的名词时,则需要由不定冠词加量词组成词组。 1、在表示一种笼统概念(某某一类/一种东西)的陈述句中可以省略a和some A tiger is a dangerous animal. Tigers are dangerous. Salt is necessary for/to us all. 2、表示某个确定的人或事物或者上文已提到过的人或事物,则要用定冠词the(有时相当于this/that/these/those),可数名词单/复数或不可数名词均可。 3、在姓名、地名、国名(非复合词)以及月份、星期等前面不加任何冠词。 a和the的区别:a是泛指, a man;特指, the man 1、在文章当中第一次出现名词的时候往往用a和an修饰, 第二次出现的时候用the A man is walking towards me. The man is carrying a parcel. The parcel is full of meat. I have just drunk a glass of milk. Milk is very refreshing. I ate an apple. Apples are delicious. She always buys flour, sugar and tea at the grocer's. ※2、一般姓名前一般不能加冠词,表示“某某一类人当中, 具有这种特征当中的一个”,加不定冠词a a Mr. Zhang 张先生这类人 例:1.The Reader is a wonderful TV show. ________ show tells us to read more good books. A.an; a B.a; the C.the; a D.an; the 定冠词the的用法: 表示双方都知道的人或事物 Give me the book,please.请给我那本书。 表示特指的或上文已提到过的人或事物 Do you know the girl in red? 表示世界上独一无二的事物 The earth moves around the sun.地球绕着太阳转。 用在序数词、形容词最高级的前面,以及对特定的两个人或事物进行比较时的比较级前面 The first lesson is very easy.第一课很简单。 She is the most careful student in our class.她是我妹班最认真的学生。 用在姓氏的复数名词前表示一家人或夫妻俩 The Greens are watching TV now.格林一家人现在正在看电视。 用在单数名词前表示一类人或事物 The orange is orange.橘子是橘黄色的。 用在江河、海洋、山脉、群岛、沙漠等专有名词,或用在由普通名词构成的专有名词 the Great Wall长城 the United states美国 与某些形容词连用表示一类人 The rich should help the poor.富人应该帮助穷人。 用在表示方位或西洋乐器名称的名词之前 Jilin is in the north of China.吉林位于中国的北部。 I like playing the piano.我喜欢弹钢琴。 用在某些固定词组中 in the morning/afternoon/evening在上午/下午/晚上, in the daytime在白天, in the end最后, all the time一直, at the same time同时, by the way顺便问一下, in the open air在户外, at the age of在…几岁时, at the beginning of在…开始时, on the other side在…另一边, in the middle of在…中间, at the moment此刻 定冠词的位置: 当定冠词与all,half,both,double等词连用修饰名词时,定冠词放在这些词之后 Look, all the books are here.瞧,所有的书都在这。 Both the boys are from Class 1,Grade 2.这两个男孩都是二年级一班的。 当定冠词与表示的倍数、分数的词连用时,需要放在这些词之后 The bed is three times the size of that one.这张床是那张床的三倍大。 This rope is one third the length of that one. 这根绳子的长度是那根的三分之一。 【课堂练习】 单项选择 1.The Spring Festival is ________ important holiday in China.
