begin（v）开始
①began to do sth = began doing sth “开始做某事” Eg：I was waiting for the bus when it began to rain. = I was waiting for the bus when it begin raining.“当天空开始下雨的时候我正在等公交车。”
②at the beginning of = at the start of“在……的开始、开端”Eg：We're going to Japan at the beginning of July. 我们七月初要去日本. *at the end of“在……的结尾，末尾”
③in the beginning = at first“起初”Eg：Everything's hard in the beginning.“万事开头难。”
*in the end“最终”= at last = finally；by the end of“到……为止”常与过去完成时连用。
④from beginning to end“从始至终”= from start to end
Eg：I've read the book from beginning to end.“我把这本书从头到尾都看了。”
