教材分析 本节课是译林版8B第8单元的第一个课时,本课时主要以激发学生学习兴趣,为下一节课的授课做好准备。通过Eddie和Hobo的对话引出该单元关于绿色世界的话题。本课时内容为怎样保护环境,过绿色生活,该内容与学生的生活息息相关,能激发学生的学习兴趣,引起学生对于环境问题以及如何改善世界环境,过一个绿色生活的关注。
学情分析 本节课授课对象为八年级学生,通过之前的英语学习,部分学生学习英语的积极性较高,能够积极参与课堂活动,发表自己的对某一单元主题的看法。但仍有部分学生,因为英语基础知识薄弱,学习英语积极性不高,不主动参与课堂活动。在教学设计中应充分考虑学生的主观能动性,通过课堂活动激发学生的学习热情与兴趣。
教学目标 1. Linguistic ability:Students will able to master some words and phrases:plant,dig,breadfruit,reduce,energy, recycle, cause, turn off…… 2. Thinking quality:Students will know some Earth’s problems, and think about how to live a green life. 3. Learning ability:Students will practice their speaking and thinking abilities after this lesson. 4. Cultural awareness:Students will know as a human we should protect our world and live a green life.
教学重难点 1. Key point: Students can master the now words and sentences. 2. Difficult point: Students can talk about what should we do to live a green life.

教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in 1. Greeting with students. 2. Watch a video about Earth’s problems, and ask students to discuss in group what the problems that earth faces are now. 3. Students show their views in class. And teacher writes down in the blackboard. Step 2 Presentation 1. Teacher presents some pictures about the ways to live a green life. Students learn some words and expressions. We can reduce air pollution / save water / turn off / save energy / recycle waste…… 2. Students complete Part A on Page 107. Ask students to share their answers. 3. Mr Wu is asking the students how to live a green life. Listen to the tape and answer some questions. Kitty takes the to school now. A. car B. underground C. train Daniel thinks to save water。 A. take a shorter showers B. take a long showers C. often swim in house 4. Read the conversation after the tape. 5. Act it out. Step 3 Practice 1. Discuss in group of four how to live a green life. List your idea. 2. Use the conversation B as a model to make a new conversation. Step 4 Presentation 1. Watch a video about Eddie and Hobo and fill in the blanks. Hobo is going to . He thinks trees are for us. Eddie likes in the garden. Eddie will plant . Step 5 Summary and homework Ask students to make a short summary. Show a mind map to review. Homework 1. Recite the new words and comic strip. 2. talk with friends and parents how to live a green life.

课后反思
活动内容紧凑,设计难易度适中,适合大部分学生。但是设计不够详细,时间略紧。
