一、指导思想与理论依据
《课程标准》(2011)指出,义务教育阶段的英语课程具有工具性和人文性双重性质。就工具性而言,英语课程承担着培养学生基本英语素养和发展学生思维能力的任务,即学生通过英语课程掌握基本的英语语言知识,发展基本的英语听、说、读、写技能,初步形成用英语与他人交流的能力,进一步促进思维能力的发展,为今后继续学习英语和用英语学习其他相关科学文化知识奠定基础。就人文性而言,英语课程承担着提高学生综合人文素养的任务,即学生通过英语课程能够开阔视野,丰富生活经历。
二、教学背景分析
(一)教材内容分析:本模块以旅行为话题,为学生打开了一扇窗户,让学生领略不同的文化与历史、人文与生活。本单元的对话以贝蒂到洛杉矶的旅行为题材,展示了讨论旅行时常用的语言,简单介绍了洛杉矶这座代表西方文化的重要城市。考虑到学生可能对洛杉矶这个城市比较陌生,本单元的对话从迪斯尼和好莱坞等学生相对熟悉的地点入手介绍这个城市,借此激发学生的兴趣,让他们乐意了解更多关于洛杉矶、加州和美国的信息。在本节课中,学生要能听懂接近自然语速、熟悉话题的简单语段,识别主题,获取主要信息;能听懂连续的指令并据此完成任务;并能在教师的帮助下用简单的语言描述自己或他人的经历。
(二)学情分析:本班学生大多具有学习英语的热情,但个体的既有水平和学习能力差异较大,因此在教学中要为学习能力强的学生搭建提升平台和能力展示的机会。同时,也要考虑到基础薄弱的学生的接受能力,在设置环节和问题时要考虑到这部分学生的认知水平,让他们感受到学习的乐趣,并通过搭设台阶使他们获得学习的成就感。
三、重点和难点
本模块的语言结构重点是一般过去时的特殊疑问句。学会用英语交流有关假期旅行的信息是教学重点,围绕这一话题展开听说训练,提高学生的理解能力和表达能力,同时利用语言材料和语境进一步巩固学生对一般过去时的掌握。
