3.discover 发现;发觉
拓展:
discover的基本意思是“除去覆盖物,使之显示出本来的面目”。引申义则表示“发现”,指发现的对象本来存在,但人们不知道而被发现者所发现,也可指人发现人、物或地方,也可以指人发现特定的活动或科学规律
find的基本意思是“发现,找到”,译作“发现”时指发现已存在而以前不知道的事物,译作“找到”时,指找到了所寻找的东西,知道了其下落,强调寻找的结果
