◎学法指导:avoid sth./doing sth.用法
“avoid sth./doing sth.”短语的含义“避免某事或做某事”,在此结构中可以用名词、代词和名词词组,还可以用动词的现在分词形式。

语法学习
1.although和though三大用法。
(1)用作连词。表示“虽然”,两者大致同义,可互换,但although比though 更为正式。如:
Though/Although it was raining, we went there.虽然下着雨,但我们还是去了那儿。
(2)用作副词。although 一般不用作副词,而 though 可用作副词,且一般放在句末(不放在句首),意为“可是”“不过”。 如:
It’s hard work, I enjoy it though.工作很辛苦,可是我乐意干。
(3)用于习语。在 as though(好像,仿佛),even though(即使,纵然)等固定短语中不能用 although。如:
She closed her eyes as though she were tired.她闭上眼,仿佛很疲劳似的。

◎观察思考:
It’s silly of me to mistake your shoes for mine.我把你的鞋误认为是我的鞋,这真有点傻。
She is often be mistaken for her twin sister.她经常被误认为是她的双胞胎妹妹。
◎用法总结:
“mistake...for”,固定结构,表示“把……误认为”,常常用于被动语态。此外,mistake还可以作为可数名词,意为“错误”,常见词组make a mistake=make mistakes,意为“犯错误”。
完成句子。
1.To our surprise, He mistook Tom for Jack .(把Tom误认为是Jack ).
2.She made some mistakes (犯了一些错误)in yesterday’s test.

◎观察思考:

◎用法总结:
lend sb.sth.=lend sth.to sb.意为“把……借给……”,是固定搭配。lend的反义词是borrow,固定搭配:borrow sth.from sb.
