与学生谈论阅读的技巧,复习上单元的阅读方法,学习本单元的阅读技巧—scanning。
◎学法指导:阅读时不可能使用单一的阅读方法,具体应用时应根据实际情况用不同的阅读技巧。
1.阅读教材中关于scanning的讲解,填空。
  Scanning means moving our  eyes  quickly while reading books to  look   for  specific information such as  names  and  numbers  .We don’t need to read every  word  .Instead, we look for the key information that will  answer  our questions.So scanning is often used when we read a train  timetable  or a  guidebook  .

or意为“否则”,是连词,表示前面事实否定时产生的结果。如:

◎用法总结:
’d rather=would rather“宁愿;更喜欢……”。常见结构:would rather+动词原形+than+动词原形,表示“宁愿……不愿……”。如:

He would rather walk to school than go there by bike.他宁愿步行去上学,不愿骑车去。
