It's my great honor to speak at the graduation ceremony.
How time flies! I can't believe that today is the last day of junior high school.I still remember the first day of Grade 7 as if it happened yesterday.I can't forget the happy time that I've spent here with my kind classmates and caring teachers.
I used to have trouble with my study, and I nearly gave up.Although I tried my best and worked hard till late night, I still failed in every test.Then I fell ill and had to be in hospital for several days.You can imagine how upset and disappointed I was! I was so scared of tests and I thought I would never make any progress.
Luckily, with the help of my teachers and classmates, things changed a lot.They always encouraged me whenever I made progress.They also spent time explaining things to me clearly whenever I couldn't understand.Because of them, I recovered soon and made great progress.I have learnt a lot over these three years, but I know I could hardly succeed without my teachers' efforts, my parents' support and my classmates' help.
Here, I would like to thank all of you for what you have done for me.I won't forget the days I have spent here with you.Even though I am sad that it's time to say goodbye, I look forward to new experiences in senior high school.Although the life in high school is hard and there may be many difficult tasks ahead of me, I will never give up and always do my best to overcome them.I have confidence to do better in the future.

语法一：一般过去时
eg：Tom finished his homework yesterday.

1) ①概念：过去发生或已经完成的动作对现在造成的影响
或结果，或从过去已经开始，持续到现在的动作或状态。
②时间状语：already，yet，just，ever，never，before，
in the past/last few years等。
③构成：助动词have/has＋过去分词。
语法二：现在完成时
2) for＋时间段，since＋时间点，表示一段时间，应将短暂性动词转变为延续性动词，表示动作的持续。
