Language points
1．【辨析】other、the other、the others与another。
(1)other另外的，其他的。它作形容词，后接复数名词，泛指其他的人或物。
(2)the other后接单数或复数名词，表示在一定范围内除去一个或一些后其余所有的人或物。
(3)the others特指某一范围内除去一个或一些后其余所有的人或物，相当于“the other＋复数名词”。
(4)another后接单数名词时泛指三者或三者以上的人或物中的“另一个”；后接“数词＋复数名词”时表示“再，又”。
2．one by one 一个接一个地，依次。它相当于one after another。例：They went into the classroom one by one and sat down.
他们依次进入教室并坐下。
3．make a list of 列一张……的清单。例：Before you go shopping, you’d better make a list of things you want to buy.
在去购物之前，你最好列一张你想要购买的东西的清单。
4．recipe n．食谱。它是可数名词，常与介词for连用。例：Here is a recipe for tomato soup.这是番茄汤的做法。
5．“make＋名词/代词(宾语)＋形容词(宾补)”表示“使某人/物(变得)……”，其中形容词作宾语补足语。
例：The good news made him very happy.
这条好消息使他非常高兴。
6．over prep.超过。其后跟数词，相当于more than。例：This hall can hold over 500 people.这个大厅能容纳500多人。
7．It’s time to do sth.是该做某事的时候了。它相当于“It’s time for sth.”。例：It’s time to say goodbye.该说再见了。
