World famous scientist Stephen Hawking(霍金)died at the age of seventy-six in his home in Cambridge,England on March 14. British Prime Minister Theresa May said Hawking was one of greatest scientists of his time. She also said,“His achievements will not be forgotten.”
Hawking was one of the most respected scientists in the modern history of physics. Because of an uncommon disease(疾病)，he was kept to a wheelchair. However, the disease did not stop Hawking from studying. Last night one of my Chinese friends took me to a concert of Chinese folk music.The piece which was played on the erhu especially moved me. The music was strangely beautiful, but under the beauty I sensed a strong sadness and pain.
