The extra cameras let the researchers see clearly that mosquitoes fly by moving their wings in several different directions.The thin top edges(边缘)of their wings move forward first and the they change dircetion and move down.The movement looks almost as if the wings are drawing the number eight.
Walker says that the present unmanned(无人驾驶的)planes do not work very well outside because wind can influence their flight.“Insects，on the other hand，deal really well with even quite windy conditions.So understanding how they can do this is going to be quite advantageous in the future.” Besides，the study can also help find ways to stop mosquitoes spreading diseases in the future.
